Kathryn Williams, Senior Associate

Kathryn joined moss+ross in 2016 and has 30 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, grant writing, prospect research, case and marketing materials development, event planning, and consulting.

An excellent writer, Kathryn specializes in helping her clients identify and prioritize prospective corporate and foundation donors and submit grant proposals.  With her extensive knowledge and network of relationships in the Triangle philanthropic community, she also helps clients develop effective engagement and solicitation strategies for potential donors.

Kathryn also manages moss+ross’ social media promotions and assists with newsletters and other marketing efforts. Prior to joining moss+ross, she was an independent fundraising consultant, Associate Director for Community Development at the YMCA of the Triangle, and Director of Marketing, Operations and Publications at Capital Development Services.

Kathryn grew up and lives in Raleigh with her husband, Murray, their teenaged daughter, Caroline, and both of their extended families.  She is a 1990 Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Wake Forest University, with a Master’s degree in Psychology from the College of William & Mary.  She is also a Sustainer in the Junior League of Raleigh and sings in the JLR Chorus.

Fun fact:  Kathryn played the role of Marian the Librarian in Broughton High School’s ‘The Music Man’ and sang lead vocals in the Heart of Carolina Jazz Orchestra.
