Juliellen Simpson-Vos, Senior Associate

Juliellen Simpson-Vos recently joined moss+ross and has more than 25 years of nonprofit executive experience in a variety of sectors including education, health care and youth development.

Prior to joining moss+ross, Juliellen spent 12 years with Girls on the Run, a national girls empowerment organization, serving as both the executive director of Girls on the Run of the Triangle and then joining the national organization to lead their council development team. She also led the organization’s national inclusion, diversity, equity, and access strategic framework and initiatives. Juliellen has driven successful advancement in board recruitment and engagement, strategic planning and capacity building, executive searches, and leadership coaching and development.

Juliellen is active in her church community and a passionate advocate for social justice. She serves as a board member for PORCH Durham, enjoys rooftop builds as part of the Habitat for Humanity Orange County Women Build committee, is a supporter of Together We Stand NC and acts as Be the Bridge facilitator.

Juliellen and her husband, Mark, moved to North Carolina from the Midwest in their early 20s to pursue advanced degrees. While they didn’t initially envision establishing roots here, their extended family soon migrated to the area, and they have all been firmly ensconced as part of the Triangle community ever since. They are thrilled that their daughter, Sydney, is also a Tar Heel!

Fun fact:  Juliellen is an avid runner and hiker, national parks enthusiast and lover of Pilates.
