Lisa Adkins is Senior Counsel with moss+ross, bringing extensive expertise in major gifts fundraising, community engagement, donor and volunteer cultivation, stewardship, strategic planning, and organizational leadership. She most recently served as Director of Development for myFutureNC. Prior to that, she was Vice President of Advancement at Blue Ridge Community College in Hendersonville, NC. Her career also includes leadership roles at the Buncombe County Schools Foundation as Executive Director, YMCA of Western North Carolina, Pardee Hospital Foundation, Indiana Humanities Council, and Ballet Internationale.

Lisa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from Texas A&M University, a Certification in Nonprofit Management (CFRM) from Indiana University, and a Master of Science in Management and Leadership (MSML) from Western Governors University. She is a graduate of Leadership North Carolina and Vision Henderson County, and has earned recognition as the 2018 Outstanding Nonprofit Executive by the Asheville Chamber of Commerce.

Active in her community, Lisa serves on multiple boards and committees. She is married to a 31-year Navy veteran and has two daughters, Hailey and Madeline.

Fun fact: Lisa loves to cook and lived in Italy for three months with her family where she took multiple cooking classes.
