CELEBRATING CLIENT SUCCESS

RECENT CLIENT NEWS

UNC Medicine has raised more than half its $1 billion goal ($692.7M) to match philanthropic investment with the needs of patient care, research, and education at the UNC School of Medicine and UNC Hospitals. moss+ross provided a Development Assessment and mid-campaign fundraising counsel. The team raised $172M in this past fiscal year – its best fundraising year in history and a significant milestone on the road to achieving the $4.25 billion overall Campaign for Carolina goal.

Congratulations to SECU Family House at UNC Hospitals for surpassing its capital campaign goal, raising $9.64 million in a 4-year campaign assisted by moss+ross. Construction is well underway to expand to 75 rooms, thanks to donors throughout the state who responded so generously to the compelling need to provide more safe, affordable lodging and support to patients and caregivers who travel to UNC Hospitals for lifesaving procedures and serious illnesses.

The North Carolina School of Science and Math held a historic groundbreaking for the new state-appropriated NCSSM-Morganton campus on June 21, 2019, and announced a $5 million philanthropic gift from Carolinas HealthCare System Blue Ridge to name the student wellness and activities center at the new campus. This gift and the recent $2 million gift from alumnus Carl Ryden and his wife Ashley to launch an artificial intelligence program are the largest gifts in the school’s history. moss+ross is assisting with campaign counsel.
