Ashley Sedlak-Propst is a moss+ross affiliate contractor with extensive experience in nonprofit fundraising, database building and management, and client support. Since joining moss+ross in 2023, Ashley has assisted with campaign management for the North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians, Barton College, and the Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC).

As the Executive Director of Historic Cabarrus Association, Inc. for over 7 years, Ashley led exhibit research and design, archives and museum management, educational programming development, grant writing, and yearly fundraising efforts. She understands the challenges of running a nonprofit on a shoestring budget and works closely with clients to achieve practical, sustainable, and transformative impact.

Ashley holds a BA in American History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a MA in Public History from Appalachian State University, and a graduate certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She also serves as the Development Chair on the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Museums Council and gives local history talks and tours in and around Cabarrus County, NC.

A native of Western North Carolina, Ashley lives near Charlotte, NC with her husband Bradley, their two rescue dogs, Strider and Wynnie, and their cat, Gremlin. She spends her free time playing board games and exploring the great outdoors with her husband, playing her fiddle, listening to vinyl records, and reading anything she can get her hands on.

Fun fact! Ashley began knitting hats for friends and family during the COVID lockdown months, and now loves to design and knit her own clothing.
